The Advantages and Disadvantages of Growing Up Milk

There are many misconceptions about the benefits of growing up milk and it is very hard to get confused about whether your baby actually needs this type of milk or not.  I’ve been looking into the pros and cons of growing up milk today and hope to be able to shed a bit of light on the subject to help you make an informed decision.

Advantages

There seem to be quite a few advantages to growing up milk.  These include:

• Growing up milk contains added vitamins and minerals so if you are unsure about how many vitamins your child is receiving from his solids, growing up milk is a good substitute.
• The ready-made and powder varieties of growing up milk do not need refrigerating and so are useful for family holidays or long road trips.
• Growing up milk also comes in a variety of flavours so if your child dislikes the taste of cow’s milk, this is a good alternative.
Disadvantages

After a lot of searching online, I can only really find one disadvantage to growing up milk and to be fair it’s not a great one.  Some mothers are worried about the flavoured growing up milks in as such that they don’t want their children to refuse to drink normal milk at a later date.  There is one simple way around this – opt for normal milk flavoured growing up milk if you think this may be an issue.
