Homestyle crockpot beef stew

recipe below is the first thing I did when I got the crock pot for Christmas two years ago. This stew recipe is 6 quart slow cooker. Depending on the size of the slow cooker, the number of ingredients varies.

INGREDIENTS

1 pound stew meat
1 package stew seasoning
3 pkg brown gravy mix
a regular size package of mixed vegatables
3 beef bullion cubes 1 teaspoon

Worchestire sauce 8 cups water 1 tablespoon

flour 1 tablespoon butter
3 medium potatoes

Cooking oil Cornstarch *
onion and garlic powder to taste *

TECHNOLOGY

Step one: Coat skillet lightly with cooking oil. (You can also use a cooking spray fewer calories.) Add 1 pound stew meat in a saucepan. Cook until brown. Meat does not always have to cook .* To save time, you can brown the stew meat in advance. After browning, place the freezer.

It keeps the meat fresh for a few months. If you sear the meat on the previous day, place in the refrigerator

Step two:. Peel and slice potatoes 5th Place in your slow cooker and casserole meat, sauce mix, Stew seasoning, mixed vegatables, bulion dice worchestire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder and water. Take the flour and butter and mix in small bowl. Put the mixture to slow cooker. This helps to thicken the sauce as you cooks.Turn stew slow cooker is low. Cook on low 8-9 hours or high 4-5 hours.

* If the pot is not as thick as you want at the end of cooking time, take 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and stir together 1 tablespoon water. Place slow cooker. Repeat the process until the desired thickness.
